About Melissa

I'm a mom of four and an experienced educator and caregiver with 10+ years of paid experience working with children. I have a B. S. in Elementary Education and completed my teacher preparation program and student teaching. I've also homeschooled my children and founded and ran an outdoor education program where children learned through hands-on experiences, creativity, play, and lots of time outside. I genuinely love being with kids--reading, creating, exploring outdoors, doing projects, cooking together, and following their natural curiosity. I also believe children thrive with kind, consistent boundaries and age-appropriate expectations. I'm comfortable with infants through teens, multiple children at once, and busy households. I'm happy to help with meals, outings, activities, learning support, and light household tasks. I'd love to find a family looking for a warm, dependable caregiver who will genuinely know, enjoy, and engage with their children.
