About Melissa
Experience: 10 yrs
As an experienced Academic Language Practitioner, I specialize in reading intervention with a focus on students with dyslexia. I am trained in the Take Flight Curriculum and have five years of private tutoring experience plus two years of classroom teaching. I'm currently accepting new students for in-person sessions at my home office in the 80909 area and for online lessons. I also administer literacy assessments and create personalized support plans based on each student's needs. I'm trained through Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in their dyslexia programs: • BUILD for kindergarten and 1st grade • Take Flight for 2nd grade and up • JET for 6th grade and up These programs provide everything from early intervention to advanced reading support, helping students build strong skills and gain confidence.
