About Melissa

I'm a certified teacher with over 20 years of child care experience, and I'm passionate about fostering children's growth and development. I am finishing my 8th year of teaching middle school math and am looking for a summer opportunity. My friendly and approachable nature makes it easy for me to connect with children and build trusting relationships. I believe in open communication with parents and always follow their preferred communication method to keep them updated on their child's day and address any issues that may arise. When it comes to enforcing household rules, I'm very comfortable doing so in a gentle and consistent manner. I enjoy playing a variety of games with children, including board games and puzzles, educational games that promote learning, and technology-based games and apps. I'm comfortable caring for up to 10 children of all ages, from infants to preteens. I am also willing to help with carpooling, light housekeeping, and supervising children while they swim.
