About Melissa

Hi! My name is Melissa, I'm 23 years old, and I've been working with kids for nearly a decade now. I started by caring for my siblings' little ones-some as young as just a few months old-and gradually began babysitting for families in my neighborhood. In addition to hands-on childcare experience, I've worked as a youth advocate and administrative assistant at a local domestic violence shelter, which deepened my understanding of how to support children with empathy, patience, and care. Over the years, I've cared for kids of all ages, but I've especially loved working with infants and toddlers. When the weather's nice, I love getting outside with the kids-whether that's a walk, a drive to a local park, or a backyard picnic. On quieter days, I bring out the coloring supplies or set up a creative activity. In my free time, you can usually find me hiking, spending time with loved ones, or out in the garden with my dog, Toro, to reset and recharge.
