About Melissa

As a nanny, I make sure to take care of the children I watch, as if they were my own. I have experience with all ages, ranging from 4 months to 15-year-olds. When taking care of 0 to school-age children, I plan & prepare age-appropriate activities including gross and fine motor activities, arts and crafts, and language arts. I believe that children need structure in everything they do, mixed with fun! I like to create somewhat of a loose curriculum for children when I am with them all day. So that the day is not just a block of 8 hours, but it is broken up into a schedule. I plan different activities each week and make sure to get the children out of the house as well! I also make sure all areas of the house that we use are cleaned up; nice & tidy daily. The daily cleaning also includes doing the children's laundry, and vacuuming their bedroom & playroom.

If I could give Melissa ten stars, I would. She is truly the best nanny, and we feel so fortunate to have had her as part of our boys’ lives this past year. She cared for our 1-year-old and our 3.5-year-old on occasion, and I honestly consider her a professional in child development, and at the very top of her craft. My boys love her so much. Melissa goes far beyond the basics of what you’d find in most nannies. She thoughtfully creates age-appropriate curriculum and activities that not only keep the kids engaged but also help them reach important milestones. On top of her skill and professionalism, she is simply a wonderful human being who has become part of our family. Anyone would be lucky to have Melissa in their children’s lives!
