Melissa is affectionate and loving, firm but gentle, capable and professional but also fun and funny! She gives kids the boundaries they need to feel safe and simultaneously empowers them to explore. She is an endless source of stimulating activities but also very adaptable to parents' preferences in any matter. She is a natural educator as well: both my three-year old and the other child in her care (only 6 mos older) are starting to decode words and can do basic arithmetic...! I wouldn't have thought to even try. I've learned a lot from Melissa myself as well-- everything from toddler cuisine to discipline strategies -- and she truly is a "professional parent." Her next family will be lucky to have her!
