About Melissa

I have had the privilege to work with children in various capacities for the past 20+ years. I have had the pleasure of volunteering in our church nursery with children ages newborn to 3 years for the past 10 years. This is an age group I truly cherish and love spending my time with! After raising my kids as a stay-at-home mom for 15 years, I nannied for a sweet family with 2 boys ages 6mos and 3 years old who ended up becoming an extension of my family!! For the past 8 years I was able to work and grow as a special education teaching assistant within a public school setting. The primary age groups I worked with were kindergarten and 1st grade, helping amazing students succeed both academically and socially in their day-to-day lives. I am married to a wonderful husband and we have a 23-year-old son and a daughter who is 20. We have two cats and one spoiled rescued chihuahua. In my free time, I love to walk and play at the beach, go for nature walks and bike rides with my family.
