About Melissa

I have recently moved to the Murrells Inlet/Pawleys Island area from Rhode Island with my husband and our daughter who is currently a sophomore at Coastal Carolina University. We also have a son who just graduated from college and is working back in RI. I have had the privilege to work with children in various capacities for over 20 years. I have had the pleasure of working in our church nursery with children ages 6 mos - 3 years for the past 10 years. After raising my kids as a stay at home mom for 15 years, I have spent the last 8 years working as a special education teaching assistant within a public school setting. The main age groups I worked with were kindergarten and 1st grade helping students succeed academically and socially in their day to day life. We have 2 sweet cats and one very spoiled 3-year-old rescued chihuahua. In my free time I absolutely love to spend time with my family at the beach, going for nature walks and bike rides.
