About Melissa

We couldn't be happier with the care our 18 month old has received from Melissa over the last year! When we relocated to West Hartford, we hired Melissa to care for our baby full time, and our older (3, 8) kids after school on occasion. From the moment we met her, it was evident that she has a genuine love for children. Melissa’s warmth, patience, and attention to detail have put our minds at ease knowing that the kids are in good hands. We both work from home, so we have had the pleasure of first hand witnessing Melissa’s skill, and watching her relationship with our children grow. Melissa goes above and beyond to engage our baby in stimulating activities and ensure their well-being at all times. She follows their lead and interests, she will sit and watch a dump truck for 40 minutes, or seek out community events to keep them entertained and learning. Her passion and background in education is an asset - she communicates with all 3 kids with the knowledge of an educator, supports them through their emotions, and introduces them to new ideas and activities, all with endless patience. Melissa will often share anecdotes about our kiddos interests, funny things they do or say, or new skill - and she shares these stories with such excitement and joy, you can see her love for them shine through. Melissa is also reliable and a great communicator with us as parents. She *maybe* took 1 sick day in the past year. She will take the lead and make suggestions, but will always defer and check in (food, nap schedule, etc). Having Melissa as part of our family's support system has been invaluable. She is the third parent we needed. We highly recommend her to any parents seeking a trustworthy, nurturing, and experienced caregiver for their little ones. If we could keep her forever, we would.
