About Melissa

I'm Melissa and I love working with kids! I live in Lincoln Square in Chicago. Right now, I am looking for part time work but I am willing to pick up more hours based on both of our needs and rapport! I have robust experience working kids, teens, & adults with I/DD along with years of experience with neurotypical children. I have worked in recreational settings (field trips, park districts), classrooms, and in family homes. I am an artist so crafts are my specialty! I am all about finding creative solutions to problems and providing visual tools if necessary. I understand the impact of smartphones/iPads around young kids & teens; this means I'm careful about using my phone around children. I'd only turn on tech to provide educational media, for short term entertainment, or whatever your family is comfortable with. I'm adventurous and active, I love connecting with nature. Patience, safety, creativity & fun are my priorities!
