I hired Melissa for a day so that we could get some adult time in during our Palm Springs getaway.  Melissa responded quickly to all of my messages and showed up on time with a nanny bag full of toys and activities to make sure my daughter would be entertained.  I didn't know how many hours I'd need her for but she was very flexible as long as I gave her a heads up that I'd want her to stay longer.  After an entire day of playing with my daughter, she fed her dinner and even got her ready for bed.  At the end of the night, I didn't have to do anything but to say goodnight.  I would definitely hire Melissa again!

Melissa was such a sweetheart with my 2 year old son. He is very shy and HATES the transition from me/my husband) to caretaker, but she did an amazing job with him and always made him feel comfortable and was always welcoming with him. She was very knowledgeable about all things toddlers and seemed to love her job. She made quick notes about their day which I really appreciated. The first phone interview I had with her I could just tell she was going to be great with him and she totally exceeded my expectations! I would no doubt hire Miss Melissa again if we come back to vacation in this area in the future.

Melissa is wonderful! She was great with our 15 month old son and was especially attentive to our dog. She arrived on time and provided updates with pictures throughout the evening. We will definitely be using her again!

She's the best! We love her and our son never stops talking about her. We are so glad to have found her and will call her first anytime we ever need childcare.

Though we were not able to work with Melissa in person due to our individual schedules, she went out of her way to keep in touch and help us navigate this world of looking for a baby sitter. she provided recommendations and answered all our questions, all out of her own time and most of all, kindness.

We had Melissa babysit our 5 month old daughter twice while we were in Palm Desert.  Once at night, when Melissa handled the bedtime routine perfectly and once during the day.  Melissa is very sweet, but also quite diligent.  She provided us with a log of what our daughter did during the day (eating, napping, diaper etc.).  Our daughter really liked Melissa and seemed very comfortable with her.  She brought a nanny bag of toys/books which was great.  We will definitely have Melissa sit for us again when we are back in town.

I was excited to hire Melissa for our family but unfortunately found her ability to even connect with us on the phone very disorganize. We had one time she and I were suppose to connect. Never heard from her so I reached out. She then scheduled and missed 2 calls and never reached out once she couldn't make it. It took me reaching out to her to hear what happened or get an explanation. She finally gave her number so we could talk but by this point the experience was so off putting. I would much rather someone who can follow through and is dependable watch our kids.

Malissa is a wonderful sitter!  My kids love her and look forward to her coming.  Feel really confident leaving her in charge.  She plays with them and is very responsible.   I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Malissa was great! We hired her and another sitter to watch four 2 year olds and 3 babies under 9 months old. They all loved her! 

Malissa and I exchanged many emails confirming date and time for babysitting. For personal reasons she was over 1 hour late and didn't bring her bathing suit to the hotel as requested. My son wanted her to go in the pool with him but she did not. When I got back to the hotel room I saw my 4 year old son wearing only his underwear and crying. After 5 minutes or more of me trying to calm him down I asked him if he was by himself. At this point Malissa yelled from the bathroom confirming that she was in the room. From my little time with Malissa I can say she is not punctual, not reliable and doesn't know how to handle upsetting situations. My son was crying because she said that she was leaving and for that reason they had to leave the pool. Due to her being late I had to spend $200 for a massage that I missed (the hotel has a strict cancellation policy) and after getting my hair done I walked into the hotel room and was stressed out. So much for a nice spa day. I wouldn't hire her again. 

We were in town for the weekend and needed someone fairly last minute to stay with our 14-month-old. Malissa got the job done! She was punctual, kind, great with our baby, and even our teenagers had fun with her. Highly recommend!

Malissa was the first child care provider we hired from care.com. She is a total professional and made us feel at ease to leave our eight-month-old while we were vacationing in La Quinta. 

Malissa was so great with our 2 year old daughter. She had so much fun with her and was tucked up sound asleep when we arrived home. Malissa did a great job of updating us at the right time during the evening that all was going well. She had no problem with catching on to our daughters routine and our home right away. She was also flexible about staying a little longer than planned. The next day we asked our daughter and she said she liked Malissa a lot and wanted her to come back. That's rare for our 2 year old who is very attached to Mommy! We highly recommend her and will hire her again!

Our family was in Palm Desert for the weekend and Malissa did an excellent job caring for our 2 toddlers.
They especially enjoyed the arts and crafts she brought for them.  Would definitely hire her again when we're back.


Malissa is an amazing babysitter! My kids absolutely adored her and waited by the door anxiously for her arrival on her second day. Direct quotes from my oldest "I don't just like her, I love her!" and "I think she's the nicest person I've ever met". So, yes, Malissa made a great impression:)  She was also on time, super communicative and a jumped right into the job with pretty minimal guidance on my part. Next time we're in the desert I will definitely be contacting her. Thank you Malissa!

Do yourself a favor and hire Malissa- she was amazing!  A total natural with my kids, who aren't easy ages- 3yrs and 5 months.  She was so comfortable taking charge of my 5 month old, and came up with quick solutions to everything.  She had a very fun, loving personality- I will have her back any day! 

Malissa watched my 4 month old every night for 3 days.  She was great with him!  Next time we are in the desert we will definitely be reaching out to her to babysit again.
