About Melissa

I have a deep love for children and have been around childcare most of my life. My mom babysat for about 10 years while I was growing up, so caring for kids was part of my everyday life from a young age. I also helped raise two babies until they were about 4 years old, and I have a 12-year-old daughter of my own, so I'm comfortable with infants and up. To me, childcare is about trust. When a child and parent feels safe with me, I see that trust as a profound gift and something worth protecting in this world. I'm nurturing, dependable, patient, organized, and happy to help with meals, routines, homework, crafts. One thing you should know about me is I really value communication. I want parents to feel comfortable telling me bluntly how they like things done, what matters most to them, & what makes their child feel secure. I'll always respect your routines & parenting style and never assume I know your child better than you do.
