About Melissa

Hello, I'm Melissa, a former middle school English teacher with 16 years of experience. I hold a BA in English and a master's in education. I'm CPR and First Aid certified--and more importantly, I'm a proud mom of two wonderful kids (ages 5 and 11), so I fully understand the joys and challenges of raising children. Over the years, I've cared for kids of all ages engaging children in creative play, art projects, baking, and activities that follow their interests. I have a gentle, nurturing approach and lots of patience--especially helping with homework! I'm comfortable around pets (we have two dogs), and I'm happy to help with light housework, errands, or grocery shopping as needed. I value building strong, trusting relationships with the families I work with. I'd love the opportunity to be supportive and dependable in your child's life.
