About Melissa

I took care of my mother for several years while she was very sick with COPD. I provided meal prep medication management stayed the night with her. Provided bathing and hygiene assistance and transportation to and from appointments as well as running errands with her and for her. I have also provided respite care for a dementia patient recently for the last year and I do all of the above with him as well as exercises that he is to do for physical therapy and some assistance with feeding. I have also volunteered many many years when I lived in Quincy Illinois at the Illinois veterans home and provided care with several of the residents just in there activities and also assisted in the activities at the residential halls. When I was completing my masters degree, I did my internship with hospice care and helped with the social work side of hospice care as well as bereavement.
