Hello! I have over 30 years of experience caring for and assisting the elderly in institutional/residential settings. I credit a lot of my knowledge to working in a family Adult Foster Care Home from a young age, was trained by an RN, and have seen many types of situations. Some of my best attributes are maturity, common sense, competence, reliability, honesty and integrity. I'm comfortable with most situations and make a great engaging and friendly companion with good communication skills. I'd consider myself very fluent in interacting with seniors as I've been doing it most of my life. My skill set and abilities are broad and I'm very detail and quality-oriented.

We hired Melissa and we have to say HANDS DOWN, she is the absolute BEST!! She handles our dad as if he was her own dad. She is kind and gentle and has a heart made of gold!! Thank you Melissa for being YOU!! 

Melissa took care of both of my parents for two months, and then my dad for another year, working both daytime and overnight shifts. She is a very kind, compassionate person who took excellent care of my parents. She’s trustworthy, conscientious and reliable. I had very specific things I wanted done during each shift and Melissa took care of everything essential (medication assistance, exercises, meal prep, light cleaning and laundry) and also provided warm companionship. I especially appreciate how patient she was spending time talking with my parents and helping my dad with his jigsaw puzzles. It was a comfort to everyone in my family to have Melissa as part of our care team so that my parents could safely stay their entire lives in the only home they had ever lived in together. I highly recommend Melissa as a caregiver and would be glad to provide a more detailed reference for her.

Melissa cared for our mom who had Alzheimer’s. She is truly an angel, and our family cannot say enough good things about Melissa. She was with us for 3 years.

Melissa is great. She worked for us for 1 year and 8 months until my mother died. Her loving care was what we needed to take care of my mother through the different phases of needed care from transferring to the wheel chair to completely bed bound.

Melissa took care of my Dad toward the end of his life. She worked during the night so I wasn't there a lot to witness the care. However what I did see & hear was good. My Father would have reported to me if anything had been unacceptable. Melissa was very respectful, kind, & a pleasure to work with. I thoroughly checked her references also & they were all good. 

Melissa took care of my 94 year old mother for 18 months--until we moved out of state or she would still be our caregiver.  She was wonderful to my mom, very kind and patient, listening while mom told the same stories over and over. She helped mom with dressing, washing up, tooth brushing, changing clothes and pull up.  Also took mom to dr appts.  Mom loved her and I recommend her very highly.

Melissa has been an excellent caregiver for my friend and sister for approximately 2 and a half years. She is honest, reliable, hard-working and caring and sensitive to one's needs. She is efficient, a good organizer and handles medications accurately.

Melissa was a wonderful caregiver for my mother! She was very conscientious, paying attention to the details of her diet, her hygiene and her self esteem. Melissa could handle so many of the unpredictable conversations, and situations related to mother's dementia. Mom was more than a handful on more than one occasion. I always felt comfortable leaving my mother when Melissa was on the schedule. In addition to understanding and working with mom, Melissa took pride in her surroundings and was willing to help us keep her home clean neat and safe.
