About Melissa

For over 10 years, I've been helping students unlock their potential. As a certified teacher with a graduate degree, I create an engaging, supportive, and patient learning environment for elementary and middle school students. I vary my teaching strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems to accommodate individual learning styles. I tutor subjects from math and English to test preparation, art, and study skills. I celebrate small successes and provide consistent positive reinforcement to keep students motivated. Open dialogue with students and parents allows me to adapt my approach. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. I have a car, am comfortable with pets, and am available to tutor at your home, my home, or the library. I would love to help your student succeed!
