About Melissa

I'd describe my personality as kind, outgoing and honest I enjoy caring for seniors because of the stories they share and the knowledge I gain from them. I also provide comfort, caring and warmth at times when family may not be able to. I like to help seniors maintain independence and use other strengths to overcome weaknesses they may have. I'm looking to help people in the best way I know how in order to provide excellent care and support. I started caring for seniors when I graduated from Purdue Nursing School in 1994. In my spare time, I like to walk my dog, read, spend time with my grandchildren, one with whom I raise. One thing you should know about me is that I am disabled due to a head injury and loss of an eye. It does not impair my ability to care for others and it will never interfere with my job performance. I have been a Nurse for 31 years with an impeccable record and I love being a Nurse. My skills include memory care, mobility, hygiene and more.
