About Melissa

I have had the privilege of teaching students of all ages for the past 45 years. I am a certified teacher for grades PK-8 and have worked in both the private and public sectors in bilingual and general education settings. I feel that I learn as much from my students as they do from me. Their endless curiosity and enthusiasm spark my own desire to continue honing my skills and increasing my teaching creativity. I truly believe that all students can learn, if we only find their unique learning pathway. The key to a learning partnership is in building a relationship that will facilitate the transfer of knowledge and create a risk-free environment in which the child can be successful. I am fluent in Spanish and can provide instruction or enrichment in that language. I look forward to new learning partners!
