My mother is a pediatric physical therapist, and my whole life I have been around children with special needs. I always loved when she would do home visits and I would be allowed to come and play while my mom would do therapy! The past two years, I have helped organize an intensive 5 day therapy program where I interact with children who have all different kind of special needs and learning disabilities. I spent one summer as a live-in nanny for a 10-year-old boy with cerebral palsy and I enjoyed every minute of it. I would help with morning and evening routines, run errands, help out with dinner, home therapy programs and some sort of learning activity each day.
