About Melissa

I was a caregiver for my parents who are now passed away. My father had a right brain stroke and my mom had lung cancer. I'm 38 years old. I am familiar with a lot of medical terms due to my life experience and college experience. I have a strong aptitude to learn . My heart and compassion is with elderly. I was an ombudsman Volunteer at a nursing home in 2012. I met with various patients and assessed their care levels and reported any issues promptly to my superiors. I'm also a mom to 4 kids ages 7, 12, 22, 25. I have been in the role of caregiver for quite sometime. I enjoy helping people with paper work like bill pay, mail, faxing documents, and applying for necessary social services. I'm really good with technology like phones and teaching others how to use it as I was in cell phone sales at Bestbuy, seniors loved me there because I would aid them with prepaid cards and add them to their cell phone accounts and teach them to use their phones. I can cook , clean, and do dr. Appts.
