I have never gone a day of my life without owning an animal; all kinds of animals. I have stayed with animals short term and long term. The longest I've done is two months. I've helped train guide dogs. I've fostered animals from the SPCA and I've cared for sick pets as well. I love playing with dogs and taking them for walks and I love cats as well. People say you have to be a cat or a dog person but I disagree. I love all animals.

Melissa has been amazing with my daughter, S., and my dog, Dutch. Melissa has been there with my daughter as a babysitter and sometimes a full time helper since the day she came home from the hospital until now (she's almost 2). She has helped my daughter through a 5 month long struggle trying to get her to eat solid food without choking and she was very patient and encouraging. I can always depend on her to keep my daughter safe and happy. S.'s face lights up when I say Melissa's name so I know they have a great time together!
