About Melissa

I'd describe my personality as caring, empathetic and resourceful! I love working with kids because every kid deserves a village to help support themselves and their parent! As the oldest daughter, niece and granddaughter I have been taking care of cousins and siblings for decades! With a younger brother with Down Syndrome, I've gained invaluable experience with children and individuals with special needs. In my spare time, I like to get outside, play field hockey and read some good books. One thing you should know about me is I'm all in when it comes to keeping your kids safe and happy! My skills include communicating with children of all ages (even when they're not even sure what they're saying), patience and professionalism. While I consider myself fantastic with children, I also pride myself on relationships with parents; understanding and respecting rules and boundaries while also communicating as much as is possible/wanted.
