About Melissa

Hello Families! I'm Melissa. I'm from Colombia and I have been working with kids ages 2-8 for the last five years. I was a 3rd grade teacher for 2 years in Colombia before I began this chapter of my life in the USA. Originally, I came here to work as an au pair 3 years ago and I've worked with a few other families as a nanny since then. I'm able to provide references and I also have my own means of transportation. My 5 years of childcare experience has helped me become a patient and friendly caregiver. I have a college degree and training as a certified teacher. I am comfortable caring for kids and enforcing household rules. I communicate with parents using their preferred method. I enjoy playing outdoor sports, board games, and educational games. I am happy to help with meal preparation, carpooling, basic household chores and swimming supervision.
