About Melissa

I taught elementary students with learning disabilities and attention deficit in the public school setting for 26 years. I want to continue helping struggling students as a private tutor. I love to see children's self confidence grow and delight in their success. I am dependable, calm, and curious. I strive to personalize lessons to your child's interests and strengths. I'm comfortable teaching in person or online. In the initial session, I assess your child's needs. Then I design learning activities and routines to alternate between challenges and fun. I strive for that balance in pushing for growth and adapting for a tough day.
