About Melissa

I have 5 years of paid experience with clients with mild to moderate dementia, Frontal lobe dementia, Friedichs Atexia and housebound people seniors. I also cared for my parents. My Father was a doctor and had Parkinsons and a stroke. I cared for he and my Mother. She had dementia. I love using art therapy and singing, knowledge cards from Amazon gardening and afternoon tea with conversation to help seniors relax and feel at home with goals to make the day more enjoyable and slow the progression or poor health. Trips to the museum, garden centers and antique shopping are fun. I also do very light housework cooking and take clients to doctors appointments. I have enjoyed building relationships to family members and clients. My work as a musician has helped me with my companion field. Singing songs from the past with clients. drawing ect talking about current and past events are wonderful tools to encourage and stimulate the brain. I have excellent references.
