About Melissa

I am honored to recommend Melissa for the position of Children’s Advocate. I have known Melissa for many years, first as the daycare provider and teacher who cared for my children from infancy through their early school years, and later as a hospice volunteer at a hospice organization I directed. Melissa has always been an exceptional caregiver. She cared for my children beginning when they were just 12 weeks old, through some of their most important developmental years. As a mother, leaving my babies in someone else’s care was incredibly difficult, but I always felt completely safe and confident knowing they were with Melissa. She has a natural ability to connect with children, make them feel loved and valued, and recognize their individual needs. My children absolutely adore her to this day. Melissa consistently goes above and beyond. She is compassionate, patient, dependable, and has an incredibly kind heart. Her dedication to the children in her care has always been evident, and she treats every child as though they are her own. I also had the privilege of seeing these same qualities in her role as a hospice volunteer, where she was compassionate, reliable, and genuinely committed to making a difference for others. I have always been deeply grateful for the care Melissa provided my children, and I cannot think of someone better suited to advocate for and support children.
