I am a teacher interested in part-time work during the summer. I am flexible and happy to be a "backup", overnight or fill-in. If I can assist on short-notice, I will. I like to be busy. I enjoy cooking, cleaning, laundry and seeing everything ship shape. When things are kept up the focus stays on the needs of the special senior. I am very patient and accommodating. Seniors take longer to do things we still do quickly. A sincere and reassuring tone makes all the difference. I enjoy listening to stories of time gone by. Who doesn't enjoy hearing the favorites over and over? Being open and receptive to a frequent question, reminder, or task can go a long way to help a senior feel relaxed and secure at home.
