About Melissa

Hi, I'm Melissa! I'm a silly, creative, helpful, and kind girl in her mid 20s. I received my BA in Dance and taught dance to children for 4+ years. As a dance teacher, my mission was to be another safe and trusted adult in a child's life who meant business when necessary but could also have a lot of fun. I have a background in developing activities that incorporate a child's physical, mental, and emotional needs into a holistic learning experience that help us both to grow and see the world in new ways. I am a non-smoker/drinker and a homebody. I love to read, color, and spend time outside, especially on a hot summer day. Families should know that I have a mild cat allergy but love both dogs and cats. I have experience in cooking for dietary restrictions as well as an organized and prepared brain that will think of EVERYTHING to help a situation go smoothly. I like working with kids because they show me new ways to look at the world and allow me to show my creative and goofy side.
