About Melissa

My experience in education began in high school working at an after-school program as the homework tutor. In college I worked at three separate schools tutoring 8th-10th graders in Math, English, and the MCAS. After college I continued to tutor students in English and reading. I have worked at a behavioral/mental health hospital where I taught on three separate units. The students I saw ranged in age from 5-18 and had various disabilities that ranged from ADHD to Bipolarism. For the past 10 years I have worked as a teacher for 5th-8th science, 7th grade math, Algebra 1 and Geometry teacher. I am passionate about what I do because I believe everyone should have the chance to learn and get the help they need. I love to help students learn new things and see them be proud of themselves. I also believe that parents are a big part of a student's success and are more than willing to work with them to find what works best for the student.
