About Melissa

My name is Melissa I am super excited to hopefully be meeting you soon! I am the most optimist, fun, capable can do gal and I am passionate about helping to build self esteem in children! I am from Dallas Texas and have returned here in 2005 after a long stint performing on the Broadway stage in NYC. While in NYC my love of teaching children was born- first in the form of Gymboree Play and music. I then got certified to be a Montessori Toddler teacher and was lead teacher in a NYC school for 4 years- absolutely LOVED it! After 12 years in NYC I felt the man upstairs calling me home as I missed my awesome family. So back I came where I continued with Montessori and eventually on to getting a masters degree. I have recently been teaching music in several schools where I happily stayed for 8 years ( doing Christmas plays and Graduation plays) until - you guessed it - good old Covid! ! Since then I have been happily working with infants and loving it! Children are the joy of my life!!!
