About Melissa

Hi all! I am a former para from KCPS. I am originally from Jersey and have a degree in Communications from Quinnipiac University with a minor in Computer Information Systems. After working in the corporate New York City world, I decided to make a change to the non-profit sector. This led me to AmeriCorps's City Year program and of course Kansas City. The organization places tutors/mentors in urban schools around the country. Since leaving education I decided to open my own business serving real estate agents as an assistant on a concierge basis. After a few years away from education, I have realized how much I miss working with kids and I am hoping to get back into something I love. I have experience caring for children ages 0-15 in a variety of settings, and love doing all sorts of activities, outings, reading, games, and sports.
