About Melissa

Making a difference in someone's life is what drives me. With experience supporting senior family members with dementia and stroke I've learned the importance of patience and empathy. I understand how stressful it is for family members and the need for time off and support as well. I have been a paralegal for 25 years, mother of 5 children (all but one grown). I'm skilled in light housekeeping, meal prepping and familiar with dementia care as well my mother had a stroke 4 years ago and is paralyzed on one side and in a wheelchair, with aphasia and cognitive issues. I adapt to changing routines, de-escalate stressful situations, and handle confusion with a calm approach. Building connections is important to me, and I prioritize understanding each person's preferences and history. I communicate with families using their preferred method. I am eager to bring my compassionate nature and skills to your family.
