About Melisa

Thank you for taking a moment to read my bio! I have been the director of a local Christian preschool/ kindergarten in Washougal, Washington for the past 12 years. I recently moved to the Chugiak area to be closer to family. I am a Mom of three grown sons. They are all married to the sweetest girls. My first grand baby is 4 months old and my second one is on the way! It has been such a joy being a grandma! I have worked with children most of my life. I have given private piano lessons, owned and operated a Kindermusik studio, nannied, have done supervised visits for children in foster care, worked with children with disabilities and Autism. I have done summer camps for children each summer for the past 6 years. I love nature and the benefits it has for children. My desire would be to do care in my home and to be able to take children on adventures such as small hikes, explore creeks/streams, visit parks, etc. Thank you for your interest.
