About Melinda

I'm a dependable, empathetic, and warm caregiver with a kind personality and a deep love for working with kids. I started babysitting at 16 and have cared for children of various ages ever since. I find it so special to help children feel safe, nurtured, and free to explore their creativity. I plan to become a pediatrician, so spending time with kids means a lot to me both personally and professionally. Right now, I work as a research fellow at BU and am looking to earn extra income while helping a kind family who could use support. I know firsthand how much love and effort goes into caring for children, and I bring a calm, engaging presence to each home I'm in. In my spare time, I crochet, sing in an a cappella group, and love taking walks with my dog. Families I work with say I'm patient, intuitive, and great at making kids feel comfortable and entertained. Some of my strongest childcare skills include homework help, fun and creative activities, and soothing bedtime routines.
