About Melinda

I'm an energetic mother and grandmother, and have over 20 years experience as a teacher. I'm very active and enjoy hiking and yoga in my free time, along with taking my granddaughter on outings to the park, swimming, trampoline park, (I jump too!) and other fun places. I can help with meals, travel, laundry, light housework, and more. For many years I've taken classes in CPR, Epipen and First Aid, and received those certifications. Fun Fact: I'm a published author of kid's books that are both funny and educational. For over 20 years I was a Montessori teacher for children ages 2-6. I primarily focused on making learning fun and enhancing children's self-esteem. I believe young children learn best through play. When I was a teacher I was known as the 'mad scientist' because I did lots of fun science experiments. I also believe that listening to a child, and honoring their thoughts and feelings, is vital for their healthy development and happiness.
