About Melinda

I would like to introduce myself; I am a retired dental hygienist. I CPR and BLS certified. I have 20 +years working with geriatric patients. Many of my patient were transported to my office from assisted living or nursing home facilities. There are unique skill sets need to work with these types of patients. I shine in my ability to communicate with the elderly. These patients must be made to feel comfortable. You must establish a repour and be patience. You must listen, try not to interrupt and never rush them. You must be able to assess them for fall risk and be able to monitor their environment to prevent injury. I am comfortable being a liaison between family members and heath care providers as well as helping clients understand and fallow instructions given to them.
