About Melinda

I have over 25 years of experience caring for children, including more than 15 years specializing in newborns, infants, and toddlers. Most recently, I was a nanny for the same family for 3 and a half years, beginning when their little boy was 8 weeks old and caring for him until he started preschool. My background includes working as a case worker with foster and adoptive families, being a foster mom, adopting children from foster care, raising eight children, and working in after school programs. I provide loving, dependable, hands on care while encouraging learning, independence, and age appropriate development. I incorporate Montessori principles and love helping children reach new milestones. I am CPR and First Aid certified, including infant choking response. I have a clean driving record, background check, and excellent references. I am looking for a family where I can become a trusted and valued part of their child's life.
