About Melinda

I was a Nanny for 11 years, I made a career change and was a veterinary assistant/office manager for 7 years. At this time, I also built a successful pet sitting business and spent some time as a hostess for an upscale restaurant group. I took a position as an Assistant Preschool teacher when my children were in school and also was a banquet server here and there. During COVID, I went back to my position as a veterinary assistant until the preschool was able to reopen. Unfortunately, the school was forced to close permanently so, I stayed in vet med until, a friend was in need of a part-time assistant and technician in her private medical practice. This lead to me becoming a full time, optometric tech, and later being promoted to practice manager when the practice became corporate. I have found that I enjoy caring/managing people, animals, households even full out medical practices. My children are older, and I am looking to move on from a fast paced corporate setting.
