I have been involved with childcare in some form since the age of nine. My mother was a nanny at that time and it sparked a deep passion and love for childcare. I babysat and volunteered in my church nursery extensively throughout all of my teen years and started nannying full time in a professional capacity at the age of 19. I have experience taking care of twins, multiple children of varying ages at the same time, and completing simple housework activities while keeping a watchful eye on the children in my care. I encourage literacy from a young age, creating a daily emphasis on reading and intentional communication throughout the day. Even simple, daily tasks can be used as teaching moments, increase vocabulary, and allow a child to begin to take healthy ownership of their life early on.

Melinda has been a wonderful nanny to our infant daughter. She is a warm and nurturing caregiver and her joy for childcare shines through when she is reading, playing, and being goofy with little ones. She is highly reliable, responsible and capable. She helped our family with sleep training, treating eczema, and dealing with potential food allergies. In addition to all that, she goes above and beyond to bring special touches to her work. She has brought our daughter books from her own personal collection, she has picked out cute little clothes from thrift stores, and she brushed up on Spanish and sign language to teach our daughter new things. We would highly recommend Melinda as a babysitter or full time caregiver!
