About Melinda

I have been a mom for 35 years and grandma for 3 years. I was previously a certified in home daycare provider for the Federal Government when living on Ft. Detrick, MD. I have also cared for children in my home at different times during the years. My brother has two sets of twins and I was fortunate enough to help care for them when he was stationed in Ft. Jackson. I am comfortable with children with disabilities: ADD/ADHD, Asperger, downs syndrome or other. My nephew and niece have Asperger's and my friend has a son with Downs Syndrome. I am familiar with the concepts of Montessori style of learning and Baby Lead Weaning. I love buying books and reading to children. I DO NOT believe the TV is the babysitter. Willing to do light household chores including, meal preparation. I enjoy taking children to the library, zoo, or parks for fun interactive play. I have references and would love to talk with about your little one(s) and how we can work together to help them grow.
