My passion for working with children with special needs began as a child as I observed my youngest brother receive early intervention services for speech and OT. As a teenager, I provided care within my neighborhood for a child with autism. After high school, I had a M-F part time job as a caregiver with Public Partnerships for a child with Phelan McDermid Syndrome. This particular family really shaped and guided me to my current education pursuits for Occupational Therapy. I know that working with children with special needs is a passion of mine and that providing an encouraging/supportive environment for their development is an asset of mine.
