About Melcedes

Melcedes is a very sweet caring person. Our infant daughter bonded with her quickly and she worked with us for close to 3 months. She would take our daughter out to eat with her most days and play with her at home. There were a couple mishaps. We had written down clear instructions on giving our daughter one vitamin d drop every day. She misunderstood the instructions and gave her a vitamin d drop in every bottle for the first couple weeks. We were concerned about this but we decided to give her another chance. We were doing baby led weaning with our daughter and would have fruits and vegetables in the fridge. These would be untouched. We had to instruct her to please not give her fried foods because she was giving her food she would order for herself. Then I got home from work one day and she told me that our daughter was "down" all day and tired. I was not notified of this and a temperature was not checked. When I checked my daughter's temperature after her nap, it was 104.4. I expressed concern to her that this was not checked, and we were not notified about this. She called me and reassured me that she was not warm prior to her nap because she put her cheek on my daughter's cheek. She came back to work for us the rest of the week. After Friday, I receive a text thanking us for the work and letting us know that she was stepping down. She did not give us any notice which left us with trying to find a new caregiver within two days. Outside of these mishaps, Melcedes was always on time and ready to work. She never called off and was accommodating.
