About Melany

Hi there! My name is Melany & I'm a student living in Ankeny! I'm currently studying elementary education at DMACC! I work at a daycare & I am a certified nurse aide! I am BLS (CPR) certified & I am a mandated reporter. I have experience with kiddos aged 12 months - teenagers! I'd describe my personality as understanding, empathetic, and down to earth. I love giving respect & love to children because I know they will greatly benefit from having a kind and empathic caregiver around. I'm looking to work for families that need just a weekend off! I started working with kids when I was a young teenager, beginning to babysit at 15! In my spare time, I like to hang out with my mom & go to sporting events with my boyfriend. One thing you should know about me is I am dedicated to providing respect & empathy towards your children. My skills include staying aware of the children's surroundings to ensure complete safety, staying on top of a schedule, & having fun with the kiddos!
