About Melanie

I am a child development specialist and nanny, looking to work with a family part time. I have my own company consulting with families on best practices for child development and behavioral issues at home, and am looking to supplement that with some hands-on childcare! My philosophy involves engaging kids in the world around them by learning through play, exploring their natural curiosities, and fostering developmentally appropriate skills. Spending time outdoors/in nature is essential to keep kids grounded and that is incorporated in my day to day. I have 19 years of childcare experience, and 9 years professionally as a nanny, developmental specialist, and preschool teacher.
