About Melanie

Knowing I can positively influence a child's life is what drives my passion for childcare. I have experience working with children aged 3+ in various settings--as a babysitter, gymnastics coach, and my current full-time position as a mental health counselor with children and families. I hold a master's degree in social work as well as current First Aid and CPR certifications. Parents appreciate my way of enforcing rules & boundaries while maintaining unconditional positive regard for the children I work with. I typically provide updates verbally at pickup or will do so via your preferred method. I enjoy playing games outdoors or indoors with children, helping in reading and writing, and of course with my background, assisting children with getting along and regulating emotions. I naturally help out with household tasks and errands. I'm comfortable caring for 2-3 children depending on age. I enjoy supporting families and would love to bring my experience and enthusiasm to your home!
