My name is Melanie Joyce, I have been working in the health and social services industry for over 23 years. I started when a family member became terminally ill with cancer and my cousins asked me to become the caregiver for their mom. That family member was a nurse herself, so it was definitely a task to be challenged. I cared for her 2 yrs until she transitioned, I fell in love with hospice care from there. I'm currently a mental health specialist for the state of MN at our mental health hospital. The patients in this facility are diemed mentally ill and dangerous which means never to return back to society. I've also worked in nursing homes, and ASL with seniors, memory care as a supervisor and director. I enjoy assisting with daily care providing the best quality of life, assuring the families they can feel safe and secure with me.
