About Melanie

Hi there! I'm so excited to step into the world of play, imagination and learning with your family! I recently graduated with a degree in Psychology from Grand Valley State University, and this fall, I'll begin my graduate studies in Clinical Psychology at the University of Michigan! Over the years, through internships, volunteer work, and extracurriculars, I've discovered a true passion for a client centered approach, especially when working with children. I believe in nurturing autonomy and providing safe, engaging opportunities for kids to explore and grow. Whether it's singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" with a toddler, playing tag with energetic school aged children, or lending a listening ear to the latest middle school drama, I meet every child where they are at with warmth, patience, and genuine care. More than just providing childcare, my goal is to support independence, self regulation, and confidence in every child I work with!
