Hi there, my name is Melanie. I am an experienced pet-sitter, animal lover, and pet-owner. I have recently started taking new "friends" for upcoming late Summer and Fall vacations. I am available to care of your animal in my home. I do my very best to make your pet feel as though are on vacation too! We have a special comfy area in our finished basement for pets that prefer privacy and quiet. Otherwise, they are free to join our family and cuddle on a chair or couch or whatever makes them happy. We have a screened in deck that we call the "treehouse". The animals love relaxing under the fans, enjoying the view. Our home is clean and cozy, basically, a pet oasis. If you're in need of a daytime sitter for your dog (long work days/ day trips), I do that as well. We have one dog, Shelly (pictured). She truly is everyone's friend. So so gentle and kind. She loves cats, dogs, people, everyone! I mainly have pets stay at our home, but if you are in need of someone to come to you, we can discuss that as well. We live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood and your dog will enjoy three walks a day (more short potty breaks if needed). Animals with special needs are always welcome! I cared for a wonderful family's animals (3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 salt water tanks) for three years, before they moved. They are both veterinarians and trusted me fully with their babies. My sister is also a vet, so the love of animals in our family runs deep! I only take only *one* family's pet/s at a time. I have plenty of references, please feel free to ask! My rates are $35 a night for one dog/cat and $40 for two. I will gladly discuss three or more. $20 for daytime-daycare. There is no charge for the pick-up day.
