Melanie is one in a million. ‘Caregiver’ doesn’t do justice in describing her role in my parents’ lives during their last 10 years. Melanie ensured their diets were healthy, she got them interested in activities to keep their minds active. She knew when to engage to ensure they got timely healthcare.. I could go on and on. Melanie became a member of the family and was one of Mom’s closest friends to the end, even after they eventually had to move out of their home into a nursing home. Melanie brought joy and purpose into the lives of an old couple who needed her. I will always be grateful and thankful for the blessing that Melanie is to my family. And me.
