About Melanie

Hi there, my name is Melanie and I am a recent graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University! As a working teaching artist for the past 3 years and a camp counselor/babysitter for the past 8, I have a strong passion for the guidance and care of kids from all different backgrounds! I strive to create an encouraging, artistic, and magical space for all the kids I work with while simultaneously maintaining safe boundaries and providing a stable place for them to learn as they navigate this great big world! I am a very organized, trustworthy, and responsible person with lots of experience in event and theatre management which has made me an excellent problem solver and great at sticking to a schedule. Beyond child care I am someone who loves to make things tidy and organized, I have a passion for cooking (especially vegetarian!), I am super comfortable with pets, and generally I just want to make your life easier and more stress-free!
